    Topic: Opinion Dynamics and Epidemic models on Social Networks

    • Description: Build a simulator to study opinion dynamics and the spread of information as it was an epidemic over a social network. In cooperation with the US university of RPI in New York.

    Topic: Simulation environment of questions and answers in a social network

    • Description: The project is aimed at developing a simulation environment of questions and answers in a social network. The proposed development is with Java.  By applying the methodological steps studied in Software Engineering (which include requirements, analysis and design), we will focus on the Agile methodology with weekly code iterations code.

    Topic: Mobile app for Eurakos virtual currency

    • Description: Today mobile phones have become an indispensable tool for daily life. Then, why do we still need to have notes and coins for everyday purchases? On the other hand, more often we see stores offering discounts or packs to attract more customers. Many use mobile apps gathering deals available for customers from the app. However, these applications do not offer any extraordinary service, just advertise shops. With the idea of ​​mixing these two concepts into one, Eurakos was conceived and born. Eurakos is a virtual currency using mobile phone as payment for daily transactions in local shops. Eurakos generates advantages for both the customer and the shopkeeper. The ultimate goal of this project is to develop a mobile app for Android operating system materializing the idea behind Eurakos virtual currency, in a simple and convenient manner for users.

    Topic: Marketing System from social networks images and virtual currencies

    • Description: The project consists of developing a data mining tool for social networks and knowledge mining through image analysis. Taken together, these parts will provide the detection of brand images, extracted from the images displayed while rewarding users with digital currencies as a method of exchange. These functions will provide valuable “visual” information on public feedback to companies’ products. The obtained virtual currency will be able to be used for acquiring products and services offered by companies (primary market). The information extracted from images will be shared with companies, which will be able to get useful statistics on tastes, habits or user profiles. Therefore companies can segment their customers.
